First Philec is one with all the Filipino doctors, nurses, medical staff and volunteers who are in the frontlines fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. In support of the frontliners, First Philec in partnership with our trusted suppliers donated several personal protective equipment (PPE) to various hospitals around Metro Manila and in the Batangas state.

A total of 800 surgical-grade masks were channeled to World Citi Medical Center in Quezon City, with the gracious contribution of our supplier, Yunlu Advanced Materials Technology Co., Ltd, based in Quingdao, China. There were also 100 sets of N95 masks given to the Aerospace Industry Association of the Philippines as part of their drive to pool PPEs which will be distributed to different partner hospitals. Most recently, 200 pieces of N95 were allocated to the UST Hospital in Manila through Dr. Christian Doctor, the CADP Hospital in Nasugbu through Dr. Liza Ilagan, and Manila Doctors Hospital through Dr. Myra Doctor. The source of N95 masks were company stocks kept in anticipation of the looming Taal Volcano eruption.

As of this writing, First Philec continues to work with partner suppliers who are looking to provide and share PPEs to our brave brothers and sisters at the forefront of this battle. At this time, the company has a PPE shipment en route for delivery.

As plant operations remain shut down, First Philec stays committed to helping the country face this situation, in service of the Filipino people.
