This is to inform the public that First Philec, a local electrical equipment manufacturing company, has confirmed that counterfeit versions of their distribution transformer have been seen and sold to customers in the Mindanao and Visayas area.

Counterfeit products will fall short of First Philec's quality standards, and could possibly cause a customer's product to malfunction which may lead to serious safety issues for the utility company and the public in general.
