First Philec, in its journey to carbon footprint reduction, is now using the COMET bus for the shuttle needs of its members started last December. This is a legitimate zero-emission vehicle, as it runs on 100% electricity and can hit 100km on a single charge. It has a 30-passenger capacity, features a very futuristic design, and comes with conveniences like built-in WiFi, GPS devices, and its own contact tracing app.
First Philec has finalized the agreement with First Balfour through its unit, Therma One Transport Corporation (TOTC), for the use of this COMET shuttle bus.
Currently, the COMET shuttle bus route covers Sto. Tomas, Tanauan and within FPIP premises.
