“In my 10 years of experience in First Philec, I witnessed the numerous improvements of all the processes in the company that lead to the increase of the monthly output by 10 times. This is one of the reasons why I am still here and I believe that the business of First Philec will continue to grow.

There are lots of opportunities from other companies that came to me but God led me to the best. He led me to the company that will give me the best experience.  As our President always told me, the best training that he can give to me is EXPERIENCE. First Philec exposed me to different areas of the business to develop and enhance my techno-commercial skills. It is my honor and pride to be in a position of New Materials and Suppliers Development Lead. This gives me exposure to connect with different suppliers around the world and be able to strengthen our sources of raw materials to support our growing demand for transformers. Most importantly, I was able to influence our suppliers and partners on the Regenerative and Sustainability initiatives that we are doing right now to protect Mother Earth. Our mission is to protect our environment while doing the business! 

My journey here in First Philec is literally life-changing. First Philec continues to provide the best experiences in my career as an Engineer and as a professional. First Philec not only helped me professionally but also became my partner in improving the life of my family. I was able to renovate our home, from nipa hut to concrete. I was able to support my siblings to become Engineers as well and most importantly, I was able to help and share my blessings with those in need, especially our loved ones.”

"My journey at First Philec has taught me more than I could have ever imagined. I joined as a Cadet Engineer in the Product Design Department way back April 2013 and have grown ever since under great mentorship and leadership. I was able to experience working with different leaders under different departments that helped me reach where I am right now. 

Currently, I am the Lead of the Digital Business Development spearheading the development of digital products and solutions of the company. As an advocate of renewable energy and digital technologies, my position today is aligned with my long-term career goal. "I am Charles Quilao and I’ve been working here in First Philec Inc. for a year now.

I am very thankful that I have colleagues that understand my disability and also my superior who has been helpful and understanding from the start. I am deeply honored and happy to be part of this company because they are supportive and kind to persons like me despite my disability which is being deaf.

Every day of my life in FPI is enjoyable because I am challenged with different tasks and responsibilities. I remember how happy I am in teaching them how to perform different sign language for basic Alphabet.

Since the pandemic was unexpected, and it was my first time working, I admit that there were times that I have a hard time to understand what they were asking me to do through chat, but somehow I manage to finish it because of their guidance and support. I appreciate that my superior considers me as our department’s “voice” to our proponents as I am tasked to answer the suppliers’ queries and concerns thru emails.
